We believe every kid should arrive at kindergarten ready for school success. Registering on-time is vital to ensuring kids and families have the opportunity to connect with their school and teachers and have access to important summer activities.
We have joined our community’s “Register for Kindergarten by June” campaign, which aims to encourage and support parents to register their child before school offices close for the summer and increase on-time kindergarten registrations throughout the region. The campaign is an integral piece of the community’s larger effort to improve educational outcomes for all children.
Our Early Learning Multnomah and Early Learning Washington County programs, in partnership with the SUN Service System, Health Share and FamilyCare, collaborate across sectors with early childhood services, health care providers, DHS, culturally specific organizations and school districts to communicate the importance of early registration to families across our region.
Please join us in this effort! If you or someone you know has a child who will be five by September 1, remember to register by June 1.
